I stopped in last Saturday because my Fiance (who's deployed overseas) specifically requested several bags of Buds jerky in his care package. The employees were so helpful, they vacuum sealed everything I picked out so it would last the trip over, and even threw in an extra bag for him. Everyone asked me to thank him for his service and a customer even stopped me on my way out to tell me to thank him and knows it's a huge sacrifice for us. Experiences like these are why I'm a huge advocate of supporting local businesses. I emailed my fiance immediately after and said we will be buying ALL of our meat from there from now on. The 45 minute drive is worth it.

Thank you to your staff for your support and kindness. It won't be forgotten.

I first discovered Buds with my mother in a small town Casey’s we traveled to quite often. We’d stop there for pop and jerky every time we passed it. That was year’s ago now but recently my mom said she had some of the jerky and said it was Buds. I went online and bought some, the first pound was perfect, the second pound a little less than. Some of the jerky was fatty and greasy so I wrote to Buds to see if I could get a replacement pack. Sure enough I got one today! Buds brings back good memories but it is the best jerky I have ever had. All of my friends ask for more and it’s hard to share. It might be on the more expensive side but it is more than worth it!

I don't know who this Keniston guy is but he must have never been in a real locker or meat processing place. He should have just bought some jerky and all would be well. Best locker to have your animals processed at and the best jerky in the country.

Stopped for gas at this exit and saw the sign. Stopped in and bought some jerky, just one package, but wish i'd picked up more now. Thanks guys, it was great!

Been getting buds jerky off an on for over 20 years! Ratings, Ratings, Ratings ! 4.5 Stars ! That says it all. You do not see to many small town butcher shops anymore. Best Jerky Ever ! The Spicy is my favorite !!!

I wasn't real impressed by this place. The only thing I really liked about it was that they actually had fresh meat that one of the workers claimed that they themselves killed. I was curious about how they did this, but no one would tell me. They also seemed rather pricey and the owner wasn't too nice of a guy. I placed an order around noon directly with the owner himself and told him to call me because I would be in town to pick it up the next day. No phone call was received that day. So I stopped there at about 2pm the next day and asked why my I wasn't given a phone call and no one could answer me. Then one of the workers told me that the owner wasn't around. I asked them if they at least got my order ready. They told me "no" and that I could "pick it up later". I just shook my head and walked out. I won't be going back to this place. Not recommended.

Absolutely hands down the best jerky I've ever eaten...been all over the country and have tried just about everyone's beef jerky. But this bar none the best ..I will definitely be ordering directly....good job folks.

I drove from Davenport to pick up a Ham was very good and the jerky was some of the best we have ever had not to peppery and texture was nice, the beef sticks were great better than some we have picked up in Wisc.. only thing did not have any T-Bones ready they were real busy,cutting up a large amount of pork. We will try again in the future. The drive was well worth it.

Purchased a rear 1/4 of beef from a farmer that regularly uses Bud's for processing. After getting home and unloading my boxes there were no T-Bone or sirloin steaks. Called Bud's to see what happened and they immediately became defensive and rude. The employee said they could not find the cut sheet for this order so it is what it is. They cut minute and round steaks but ground all the T-Bones and sirloin into burger. Looks like I'll be grilling steak burgers this summer instead of steaks. Be sure to check your boxes to verify cuts before leaving!

Good selection of meats. Fair prices. I haven't cooked the meat yet so I can't comment on quality, but I have heard that it is very good.

Purchased the original beef sticks and famous beef jerky. Beef sticks were very good, moist and tender. The jerky was well done and didn't require refrigeration; too dry and chewy for our tastes.

Usually I'm not a reviewer, but hot damn this jerky was good. Perfect texture, flavor was spot-on, and the cost was totally appropriate. It's my new go-to.
